This is a lovely little desk box - perfect for matches or paperclips, or any small items. It is cast beautifully in brass by famous British company Elpec and nicely stamped for them. It is in the shape of a frog with lots of character and detail and likely to date to 1930s-1950s. His whole top part lifts up to reveal a useful cavity and he is also a bit secretive as it is not immediately obvious that he has this little space! He measures 3 inches across and has some cleaning residue in the joints and is a charming little chap.
As an antique item it will show signs of age and patina.
