This is a stunning little trinket box from the Victorian era. It is black papier mache with stunning hand painted decoration to the top and sides of cornflowers and wheat sheafs in blue and gold. It has a hinged top which opens nicely to reveal a number of small compartments, so perfect for little pieces of jewellery. It has minor wear to the paint and is a gorgeous original piece and in lovely antique condition. It measures 3.6 inches by 2.4 inches and is 1 inch high.
This is a very old antique item and as such will show signs of wear commensurate with age.
