This is a charming little patch or pill box likely from the Victorian or Edwardian period. It is a lovely little heavy piece probably of brass with gilt parts with a beautiful little classical portrait under celluloid to the top as shown. It is highly decorative on all sides with pretty scrolling and embellished borders. It opens with a good hinge and has some minor cleaning residue as shown.
It measures 1.5 inches across and 0.75 inches high. It is in lovely antique condition and a fine little antique with lots of uses, stash, pill holder or other little pocket or bag items.
As an antique item it will show signs of wear and patina.
