This is a beautiful piece of Victorian costume. It is a modesty vest which was crafted and used to put in a necklace of a lower cut dress to preserve the modesty of the wearer. It is hand crafted with beautiful fine lace to the bottom on nice fine net. This is a very old piece and could be early Victorian. It is in very nice condition with nice hemming and measures 9 inches long and 7 inches wide at the lacy part. This is a fine piece of antique costume and perfect for use and repurpose and would be an amazing part of an outfit.
As an antique item it will show signs of age and patina.
