This is a beautiful coin storage from the Victorian era. It is very prettily decorated with all kinds of scrolling acanthus style leaves to both side and a total of five storage holes - for three pennies, six pennies, shillings, half sovereigns and sovereigns and all unusually marked for their denomination as shown. It is rare in being double sided and has a bail for chatelaine or fob use and has a great selection of marks for Made in England and maker and also Best Nickel Plated. It is in beautiful condition and measures just under 2 inches across.
As an antique item it will show signs of age and patina.
