This is a stunning seal carved stamp with a lovely crosshatch matrix to the base. It is made of turned bovine bone and is evidently very old, probably Georgian at least. It has the bone leading down to the brass stamp which can be unscrewed so you can change the stamp. The top part is likely to be the standing part as it is broader and has patina and good pitting and some hair lines and possibly some glue residue to the top. It stands just under 3.5 inches tall and is a lovely authentic piece.
As a vintage or antique item, it will show signs of wear and patina.
