This is a beautiful tape measure likely from the Edwardian period. It is housed in a metal case and pulls out on a 40 inch/100 cm/1m tape. The tape is in good condition with small side splits in places but nicely functional with care. The top of the case has a lovely little cat's head with sparkling green eyes as shown. This kind of decoration was very popular in the Edwardian era and is very charming. It measures just over 1 inch across.
As a vintage or antique item, it will show signs of wear and patina.
