This is a wonderful original Victorian Staffordshire figure. It is a famous piece of two drunken men, both carrying their drinks and one with a lantern. It is a large piece and is probably mid Victorian and depicts a parson and his clerk/sexton weaving their way home and leaning on a tree stump to the rear.
It is a charming piece and measures approx 7 inches across the base and is just under 9 inches high at the highest point. It is in very good condition with natural crazing and an old repair to the neck of the Parson, a repair to the neck of the lantern and a chip to the underside rear - please see the photos - and it displays beautifully as the repairs are not visible unless under scrutiny.
As a vintage or antique item, it will show signs of age and patina. This is an authentic and funny old piece which would make a wonderful gift.
Please look at the photos carefully and please do ask any questions, I am happy to help.
