This is a charming little compact likely from the 1930-1940s. It is made of bright brass metal, which is very hard to photograph. To the top is the cutest little owl head with lovely detail and even little blue glass eyes set in a feathery brass face. It opens nicely from the side to reveal a very bright and clean interior and mirror. The inner flap opens nicely to reveal some powder remnant and pads. The inside is nice and clean with some age related patina.
It measures 3 inches across. It is in lovely antique condition and a fine little antique with lots of uses, stash, pill holder or other little pocket or bag items.
As an antique item it will show signs of wear and patina.
