This is a very useful little antique box from the Edwardian era. It is made of metal, likely nickel and the top of the case has a lovely little cat's head with sparkling green eyes as shown. This kind of decoration was very popular in the Edwardian era and is very charming. It opens nicely with a good hinge and has a bright and clean interior given its age. It has some surface scratches to the top and sides and it measures 3.5 inches across and is 1.5 inches across and 1.1 inches high, so a really handy and still useable charming little antique.
As a vintage or antique item, it will show signs of wear and patina.
