This is a beautiful Victorian etui with a pretty little decoupage picture of a little girl to the top. It opens nicely with two little press parts to the sides and it is made likely of celluloid. Inside, it is satin lined and to one side is another little celluloid box holding the tiniest of powder puffs. The little box comes out and has a mirror to the underside. It is just the most charming and pretty piece and obviously unique. The egg feels lovely to hold, cool and smooth. The piece measures 2.4 inches high and is in lovely antique with minor wear as expected for its age - the satin inside has some signs of wear and the case has some age related patina.
As a vintage or antique item, it will show signs of age and patina. This is a lovely very old notion.
